The 18th World Travel Awards  has just come to an end in Qatar, where the best and most prestigious hotels and resorts competed to win the much-coveted “World’s Leading Hotel” statuette.

Forte Village Resort won twice, receiving both the World’s Leading Resort award and World’s Leading Green Resort award, thanks to the 210,000 tourism professionals that voted for Forte Village at what are considered the Oscars of international tourism.

Forte Village Resort won the title of “World’s Leading Resort” for the 14th consecutive time and the title of “World’s Leading Green Resort” for the second year. These two awards recognise both the excellence and quality of the hospitality at Forte Village as well as the extraordinary beauty of its natural surroundings. The Resort has recently been pursuing specific eco-friendly policies to protect its environment.

Forte Village Resort is located in the stunning grounds of a park that borders the spectacular Sardinian sea. With its 2 villas, 7 hotels, 759 rooms and bungalows, 44 suites, 10 swimming pools,  21 restaurants (including a Gordon Ramsay restaurant), Forte Village is set in 55 hectares of lush vegetation with 2,000 tropical plants. There is an impressive range of activities to be enjoyed at this marvellous destination where the sun shines 300 days a year: from water sports to tennis with international tennis stars, such as Pat Cash, as well as football, golf, and rugby training with Will Greenwood, Austin Healey, Jason Leonard and Jason Robinson.

Forte Village’s young guests too will have an amazing holiday thanks to “Children’s City”, designed solely with fun for the little ones in mind. Activities include football with Chelsea coaches, rugby, music workshops, painting, pizza and pastry making, and much more. Grown-ups can have fun all night long at Leisureland with its disco, go-karting, trampolining and bowling.
