“Forte Village has teamed up with Challenge Family for a thrilling new triathlon, the Grand International Sporting Event”

Last year’s Forte Village triathlon was a triumph of skill, energy and determination and this year it promises to be even better. Forte Village has teamed up with Challenge Family for a thrilling new triathlon, the Grand International Sporting Event on Sunday 26th October. Challenge Family is the fastest growing global long distance triathlon series and holds events in iconic destinations. Forte Village is proud to have been named one of these.

Challenge Family cater for athletes of all ages and abilities and create a memorable spectator experience that captures the excitement and emotion of this sport. At the Grand International Sporting Event at Forte Village there will be something on offer for both grown-ups and kids. From a middle distance challenge through to a fun distance for eight year olds and even a scooter version suitable for children under the age of six. Plus the world-class facilities at Forte Village will be available for a fantastic holiday event for all the family. Athletes will also be able to play tennis, enroll in the Football Academy and enjoy the thalassotherapy pools at the Spa.

Forte Village is staying open until the end of the season especially to accommodate the event and amateur and professional athletes alike will flock to the resort to take part. After an ocean swim in crystal waters, athletes will jump on their bikes and cycle the gentle climb over Domus de Maria before making speedy descent to Teulada, complete with breathtaking views and boosted by enthusiastic support from local people. The triathlon will end with a coastal run, allowing competitors to enjoy the beautiful surrounding landscape, before a well earned rest back at Forte Village resort.

Forte Village has long been known for its excellent tennis facilities – but this year they are better than ever.

This summer sees two new clay courts added to what are already world-class facilities at the resort’s Tennis Club.
Situated in Santa Margherita di Pula, there are 12 tennis courts (10 clay, one with artificial grass and one with natural grass) all illuminated by artificial lighting.

Some of some of the greatest players in history such as Pat Cash, Anders Järryd, Stefano Pescosolido, Francesca Schiavone, Nicklas Kulti, Nicola Pietrangeli, Magnus Gustafsson and Jonas Björkman have played on the Forte Village courts.
