At the foot of the hill overlooking Forte Village lies the Nature Park an environmental enhancement project that has transformed a natural area into a vibrant haven of biodiversity. Designed for both adults and children, the park offers a guided journey into the world of flora and fauna, all within a safe and meticulously maintained setting.
Visits take place twice a week, departing from the Children’s Wonderland, and are led by expert guides who accompany guests through the park’s habitats and hidden wonders.
The tour begins at the large stable, home to Sardinian donkeys, Giara horses, and Shetland ponies, before continuing on to the fallow deer and little Efisietta, a foal born right here at Forte Village.
In the Grand Aviary, over 1,800 square metres provide a free-flight sanctuary for rare birds: scarlet ibises, flamingos, peacocks, swans, cranes, ornamental ducks, and many other species. The farmyard nearby hosts rare hens, ornamental chickens, and rabbits in a peaceful, well-balanced setting.
The visit continues with the educational farm, where sheep, goats, and rams from certified breeders accustomed to human interaction—offer a truly engaging experience.
The park also features a synergistic vegetable garden dedicated to sustainable farming, along with an area inhabited by parrots the longstanding mascots of Forte Village.
The Keeper’s House hosts a variety of activities, from cooking classes and educational workshops to themed evenings under the stars. Children receive the official Nature Park Passport, filled with stamps, fun facts, and characters to discover along the way.
